How far does end-to-end testing go?

Cecilie Haugstvedt

Short workshop - in English

The first hit on Google defines end-to-end testing as "a methodology used to test whether the flow of an application is performing as designed from start to finish." Is this really enough? What happens to the file your system produces? How do your consumers intend to use your services?  How bad can it go?

In this workshop we will work in groups and look at real-life examples of functionality involving more than one system. For each functionality we will try try to come up with a suitable test plan. Will we avoid the worst pitfalls?
