Assembly is to Javascript what Institutional Critique is to Conceptual Art

Cameron MacLeod

Keynote - in English

“The Third Industrial Revolution” is a term coined by Jeremy Rifkin referring to the way in which the dissemination of information via the Internet (interlinked with software and computational hardware) are self-empowering people to make and do for themselves. This movement is also referred to as the democratization of technology and represents a major cultural shift, moving global production systems into public hands.

Cameron MacLeod will present a series of projects which appropriates the democratization of technology both as a broad conceptual theme and as a strategy to develop the building of the work itself.
